BC Powder has been a visible presence in many communities for a long time — and not just on
drugstore shelves.
As we celebrate our first century, BC continues to support
educational,
civic/social, and
faith-based programs in our customers’
hometowns. College students and professors, young athletes, community leaders, and religious
organizations are among those benefiting from our help.
The African American family is a particular focus of BC community outreach efforts. In 2004, for
example, we launched the BC Powder “Working Where It Counts” Community Grant Program. Through
this program, nonprofit organizations that serve African American communities in Raleigh/Durham,
NC, and surrounding areas can apply for grants of up to $5000 to fund betterment initiatives and
activities that enhance quality of life.
